Who We Are

Sue Woolfe and Marilyn Costello are highly regarded in both the education and speech pathology professions. They have had many years experience in teaching young children the skills of early reading and understand the importance of providing pre-school children with essential skills in early literacy development.

Sue Woolfe

Sue has a bachelor of education degree in Early Childhood, Infants and Primary teaching. She has taught with the Kindergarten Union of NSW and at two leading private schools in Sydney including Trinity Grammar School and Sydney Grammar School, St Ives Preparatory where she was Deputy Infants Mistress and Senior Teacher in the Infants department.

Sue has over 28 years experience teaching pre-school and infant grade children. She was also a supervising teacher for trainee teachers from Macquarie University. Preparing and teaching young children to read is her area of expertise.

Sue is the co-author and Director of the Ready to Read literacy program and is co-Director of ILSA (International Learning Styles Australasia). She has also completed her certification as an official Learning-Styles trainer where she was trained by renowned Learning Styles researcher and educator Dr Rita Dunn at the International Learning Styles Institute in New York and has completed further training in the Adult Learning-Styles model, Building Excellence.

Marilyn Costello

Marilyn is an Infants and Primary teacher and Senior Speech Pathologist with over 30 years experience working with children in pre-schools, schools and Community Health in New Zealand, Tasmania and Sydney.

Assessing and managing pre-school children in their preparation for school, she has presented workshops on pre-reading skills and children’s speech and language development to parents, teachers and university students.
